It is often said that successful weight loss requires focusing on what you can control and ignoring the things you can’t control.
You can control…
- what and how much you eat
- what and how much you drink
- what kind and how much exercise you perform
- the amount of sleep you get.
You can’t control the number on a scale.
This is good advice, but it is incomplete.
Using your will to make yourself eat something you don’t want to eat or do exercises you don’t want to do is often a disaster waiting to happen. You will lose control of the things you can control.
You must use your will to make yourself think. Think about what you WANT. Think about WHY you want it. When the WANT and the WHY are fixed in your mind, the WHAT and the HOW will come to you.
What and how much do you want to eat, drink, and exercise?
Use your will to figure out what you want and your actions will follow.
